8 STEPS FOR THE MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE IN WINTER

We all know how important it is to develop a perfect skincare routine and stick onto it every day. But mornings can be so unpredictable! One day we are too tired to wake up 15 minutes earlier, next day we are distracted by kids / pets / favourite magazine / broken coffee machine. This list is endless, but the result is always the same: instead of the perfect morning skincare routine we quickly apply BB-cream and mascara (both are not even a SKINCARE!) and leave the house being late and stressed.

No more excuses! Use our step-by-step guide to implement these changes into your mornings and you'll see how radiant and happy your skin can be.

Step 1: Workout

Let us guess, that is not something you've expected to hear, right? But no matter how bad are your relationships with morning exercises right now, you can't expect gorgeous skin without working out at all! It improves blood circulation and reduces stress - two essential things for beautiful healthy glow. Choose whatever suits you best: short but intensive HIIT or relaxed and positive yoga poses.

Step 2: Hydration

We are definitely not the first to mention the importance of water for your overall health. Dry, dull skin? You're probably not drinking enough! Exercising first thing in the morning helps to gain this healthy habit. Drink 1-2 glasses of water after the workout to hydrate your body and skin.

Step 3: Cleanse

If you're carefully removing your make-up before bedtime, washing your face in the morning might seem unimportant. But while we were sleeping, our skin was working hard - it normally regenerates cells at night. So by the time you wake up, there are bacteria, oils and dirt all over your face. Gentle cleanse helps. Use mild foaming cleansers and warm water for that, otherwise there is a risk of overdrying your skin.

Step 4: Exfoliation

Thought this step is not as essential to be done every day, it still needs to be included in your morning routine 3-4 times per week. Use cotton washcloth or natural coffee scrub to get rid of any dead skin cells and possible morning facial swelling (we're not alone here, are we?) This step helps skin to breathe.

Step 5: Tone

Toners help to balance skin oils and to soothe it after scrubbing, so are especially important for those with oily skin. But if you're a dry skin type replace it with a face mist.
